This type of flash memory is fairly expensive on a per megabyte basis compared to, say Compact Flash memory. NewtonOS 2.x was not able to support ATA memory such as Compact Flash. Recent software fixes that shortcoming, however. Paul Guyot has created ATA Support which allows Newtons to store data on ATA cards. The cost is, 50 ,um, Euros. That's $53.90 for you and me (today, anyway). Gee, that's kind of expensive for a driver.

Catalog of Electronic Texts

The Alex Catalogue of Electronic Texts is " a collection of public domain documents from American and English literature as well as Western philosophy." Electronic versions of most texts are available in PDF, Palm Pilot, Rocket eBook and Newton Paperback.

Thomas Jefferson on my Newton. Cool!

RSS Reader for NewtonOS 2.0

Raissa is an RSS reader for the Newton which supports RSS 0.91 and 1.0.
