The goal of the project is to create CD images which contain Firefox and which users can download, burn and give away to friends and family. The first CD is now available and includes Firefox, Thunderbird and various plugins, extensions and themes."

The Most Delicious Software [Watson's creator has] Seen in a Long Time:

"

Mike Matas (the guy who designed Watson's icons) and Wil Shipley (who founded OmniGroup) have teamed up to create a software company called Delicious Monster and a program called Delicious Library. You may not have thought you needed a program to catalog your books, videos, games, and so forth — but as soon as you try it out, you will need this program.

Delicious Library is exquisite. It won first place (U.S.) in O'Reilly's Mac OS X Innovators Contest, and it deserves it. I watched people's jaws drop when they saw it demonstrated at the conference this week.

First Mac OS X malware reported:

"Macintouch reports that the first instance of destructive malware for the Mac has been identified. It doesn't appear to spread on its own, however.

"

In fact, it looks like it needs to be placed on your machine by someone who knows your root password. Maybe this is just an early alpha of something to becom more dangerous later...
