We knew iPods were a hot seller this past Holiday season, but I've been amazed at how many friends and colleagues have been buying iPods, Mini's, and Shuffles since the holidays. Maybe they'll wind up buying a new dual-processor G5 (see previous post).

I finally helped bring a long time colleague over from the Dark Side to Apple and OS X. He used to be a Mac user in the bad old days, but then switched to Windows out of disgust. He ordered a new dual processor G5 and studio display and added memory and a hard disk. After one week of unreliable behavior Apple tech support told him it was a DOA (dead on arrival). Now, they're sending him a new one of course, but I can't help but feel that the Mother Ship has let me down.
