We've been exploring the world of backyard bird watching. Daniel (4) is really into it, choosing books, wanting to refill the feeders, etc. Our backyard squirrels were really into it, too. Ah, but they forget who they're dealing with! We bought a squirrel-proof bird feeder--the kind that is weight-inactivated. If a squirrel jumps on the perch, the food goes away.
